We visited Kilwins on March 29th, fairly early on in warm weather vacation season, during Covid. We have been to Kilwins in many states and multiple locations. We are from Michigan, Kilwins home state. That being said it wasn't a new experience, which we prefer, but we knew we were in for good ice cream and on the spot made waffle cones. The also have an awesome selection of candies, fudge and other goodies but because of Covid they were serving out of a make shift window and we couldn't ogle their wares. The store is located in the heart of downtown Wilmington and is right next to the Riverwalk. As far as I'm concerned ice cream in a tourist town is not as good without a stroll while eating. We enjoyed our cones looking out at the lights on the river and had a very pleasant time to cap off our evening.
